Railway Walks Part 1

A few evenings ago, I drove myself and little miss baby to Warmley to embark on the first of what I plan to be a series of railway walks. I parked the car close to the signal box and set myself the challenge of getting to the next station and back. Warmley station marked the start of the walk. Day trippin'

Friday before last, we trogged down to Minehead. After a wrong turn that took us off course for about 30 miles, we finally arrived.



Can't remember going there before. It's got a harbour and everything.

To the beach and beyond

Earlier this month, off we went to the beach. Severn Beach that is. Not quite a "buckets and spades" beach, but pleasant nonetheless.



It has sand-dune-like grass.

Last year the council installed a new lamp post to replace an existing lamp post that was at an angle and damaged. The new light has been installed, although has not be connected and the old light has not been removed.

Offensive Graffiti on Freestone Way speedbump, 24th August

On the second speedbump up Freestone Way from the Valley Rd end, there's a spray-painted "Wanksy" graffito. I find it quite funny myself, but I appreciate others could find it offensive.
