This is another item I see up for discussion. Let's hope it's not a zealots' charter, targeting areas already hit by speed limit reductions. Incidentally, I see speed counters are out again in Pickwick, Box and Bathford... no doubt to "prove" the need for more reductions, whatever the statistics show.

I think this is part of a national review of all 50mph and 30mph speed limits. There have been a few requests to the town council to ask Wiltshire Council to review various speed limits around the town.
Personally, I don't think it helps make roads safer to reduce speed limits. I live on Box Hill and since the speed limit was reduced to 50mph there have been many more accidents than there were before.
